The 16-Port KX216 Dominion KVM Switch 1 Local User / 2 Remote Users Raritan provides its entire feature set out-of-the-box. It provides 128-bit encryption, remote power control, dual failover Ethernet, Syslog, as well as LDAP, Radius and Active Directory integration. Remote users can easily access Dominion KX from Windows, Linux, Sun or Mac desktops via most Web browser or via modem. It consists of two main components - the digital KVM switch and Computer Interface Modules (CIMs). The switch connects to each CIM to provide KVM-over-IP capability for remote access along with simultaneous local access for controlling servers at the rack. Each CIM connects to the KVM ports of an individual server and converts the video signal for transmission up to 150 feet over UTP (Cat5/5e/6) cabling. The CIMs also deliver keep-alive keyboard/mouse emulation.
