The PowerEdge 6850 SCSI Daughter Board is required for this configuration, as it provides the second SCSI controller. When used in conjunction with the 6850s PERC4/DC card or ROMB (Raid on Motherboard), the 2 Backplane configuration supports the implementation of RAID 0 or 1 on SCSI Channel A and RAID 0, 1, or 5 on SCSI Channel B. The two channels can be used together to implement RAID 10, with two drives on SCSI Channel A and two drives on SCSI Channel B. This product has been tested and validated on Dell systems to ensure it will work with your computer and is compatible with Dell PowerEdge 6850 Systems. It is supported by Dell Technical Support when used with a Dell system.
