The D5-XL will print all negative formats, from disc through 4 x 5 , using lenses from 25mm to 150mm, and provides for up to 20 x 24 enlargements on the baseboard. The DV Condenser Lamphouse, using two stationary and one variable glass condenser, assures bright and even illumination for all negative formats. The Super Chromega D Dichroic II Lamphouse has built-in stepless 0-170cc fade-free dichroic filters. Interchangeable diffusion boxes (Light Multipliers) provide excellent edge-to-edge color mixing and light distribution. The 250W/22.5V reflector-type halogen lamp is easily accessible through the door on the top of the lamphouse. The Omega D5-XL Enlarger accepts a wide range of professional accessories that include a 3-lens turret and a precise focusing aid, the Micromega Dual Range Focusing Kit. THE CHASSIS 22 x 34 x 1-1/2 high density baseboard, laminated on both sides to prevent warping. Inclined column design gives maximum freedom of easel positioning and places controls within easy reach. Modular design accepts both D Dichroic II and DV Condenser Lamphouses. High Lift Mounting levers raise lamphouse fully for easy access to negative stage. Most negative carriers can be rotated 360 degrees. Twin counterbalance springs afford safe and effortless carriage adjustment. Rack and pinion magnification control with locks for all movements. Precision friction-drive focusing with double focusing rods. Double extension bellows; eliminates the need for individual lens cones and enables reductions without accessories. Optional three-lens turret or single lens slide-in lens mount available. THE CONDENSER LAMPHOUSE Precision-ground and polished optical glass variable triple condenser system. Enables condensers to exactly match focal length of enlarging lenses to provide maximum, even light coverage for all film formats.
