The Digi CM 8-port Console Management Server enables administrators to securely monitor and control servers, routers, switches, PBX, Firewalls and other network devices from anywhere on the corporate TCP/IP network, over the Internet, or through dial-up modem connections - even when the server is unavailable through the network. It employs SSH v2 encryption to keep server access passwords safe from intruders, and supports SSH clients as well as RADIUS, TACACS, Kerberos, LDAP and other user authentication programs. An Automatic Device Recognition feature detects equipment attached to the Digi CM to make setup, configuration and management of console servers simple and hassle-free. Digi CM connects to serial console ports using standard CAT5 cables and also offers a PCMCIA card slot for adding dialup modems or wireless network cards.
