The LANtest from Cables To Go is a simple wire-mapping device for networking cables. Use it to read the actual wiring configuration for Cat5, coaxial and modular telephone cables by comparing one transmitting end to another receiving end. Cabling faults such as discontinuity, open wires, shorts, miswiring and crossed pairs are crystal clear with the LANtest's LED display. LANtest Kit includes 1 Master box, 1 Remote Box, 2 BNC l5 cm adapter cable, 1 BNC M/M adapter, 1 RJ45 15 cm Modular cable and 1 Deluxe carrying bag. With LANtest you can test the correct pin configuration of 10Base-T 10Basc-2 Thin Ethernet cable, RJ45/RJ11 modular cables 356A, TIA-568A/568B and Token Ring cable, etc. It is easy to test the grounding and verify cable continuity, open, short and miss-wire. LANtest features auto or manual scan for pin-out indicators and power switch for saving battery power.
