Proxim's ORiNOCO AP-700 Tri-Band Access Point is a high performance LAN solution that is ideal for small to medium enterprise customers including those in education, healthcare, financial services, government and, manufacturing. The access point supports IEEE 802.11a/b/g/i standards and offers more than 30 Mbps actual 802.11g throughput using Super Mode; compatible with any Wi-Fi certified 802.11g client. It featuring proactive rogue AP scanning in both the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands, even while operating only in the 2.4 GHz band. The access point offers security features such as WPA2 and Secure management interfaces including SNMP, Web, and Telnet that prevent unauthorized reconfiguration. It supports for up to 16 separate VLANs allowing multiple user groups with different security requirements to simultaneously use the same access point.
